Once again the markets started the day weak but were able to finish in the green. The Dow 30 was up 29 (0.17%), the S&P 500 was up 5 (0.28%) and the Nasdaq 100 was up 19 (0.39%). Tomorrow is the all important unemployment rate and many are expecting bullish news.

Shares of Oracle (ORCL  ) lost 3.97% today after a former senior finance manager says she was terminated for complaining about improper accounting practices. The former executive, Svetlana Blackburn, said she was told to add millions of dollars of accruals for expected business.

Joy Global (JOY  ) soared 22.10% today as the mining equipment maker topped earnings estimates but reported a decline in revenue for the 13th quarter in a row. Joy Global posted earnings per share of $0.09 on revenue of $602 million. Investors cheered the earnings beat with strong buying pressure all day long.

Box (BOX  ) suffered an 11.48% decline today as the cloud storage company reported first-quarter earnings that topped Wall Street estimates, but its stock fell under pressure after posting disappointing billings figures. Box reported an adjusted loss per share of $0.18 on revenue of $90.2 million. Shares closed at a 4 month low on the news today.

Though its share price was largely muted today (-0.27%), China Daily reported that Tesla (TSLA  ) will deliver the Model X ahead of schedule in China. The report says Tesla will now deliver the vehicles at the end of this month instead of the first quarter of 2017.

Lastly, Apple (AAPL  ) lost another 0.75% today as Goldman Sachs cut its price target to $124 from $136. The investment bank also lowered its forecast for iPhone unit sales to 211 million from 212 million for 2016.
