Broad market indexes advanced alongside chip stocks, with the Nasdaq up 1.94% and the S&P 500 gaining 0.86%. Market leadership remained concentrated in Technology and Consumer Discretionary sectors, despite only four of 11 S&P sectors advancing and an advance/decline ratio of 0.6.

Technical Analysis
From a trend perspective, AMD is still in a bullish long-term structure: it's trading 39.7% above its 200-day SMA ($395.94), and the 50-day SMA remains above the 200-day SMA-typically a constructive backdrop for swing buyers. At the same time, the stock is trading 8.9% below its 20-day SMA ($607.24), suggesting the recent run has cooled and price is digesting rather than accelerating straight up.
Key levels are fairly well-defined with the stock sitting between medium-term trend support and the prior peak zone. A push back toward the October swing-high area would put the 52-week high back in play, while a failure to hold intermediate trend support would shift attention toward deeper pullback levels.
- Key Resistance: $658.50 - aligns with the 52-week high area ($658.52), a zone where prior rallies have topped out
- Key Support: $45 - a prior buyer-defense area that sits well above the 200-day SMA, making it a key "line in the sand" on a larger pullback
