Stocks were mostly higher to start the week and the major indices mostly were in the green. The Dow 30 gained 37 (0.22%) while the S&P 500 did have a small down day, losing 2 (-0.13%) The Nasdaq 100 barely held on to its gains adding only 1 (0.04%).Tesla (TSLA  )  Had a strong 3.69% up day today as Baird upgraded Tesla's stock from neutral to outperform. The analyst also raised its target price from $230 to $300 per share on expectations that the Model III may help boost the electric car maker's stock price.

3D Systems (DDD) Popped a whopping 24.59% today as the company reported fourth-quarter and full year 2015 results before the bell, beating on both the top and bottom lines. 3D Systems reported that its revenue decreased to $183.4 million from $187.4 million one year ago. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected revenue of $166 million. Shares finished the day at yearly highs.

Shares of Starwood (HOT  ) popped 7.87% today as the company has received a takeover offer from a group led by China's Anbang Insurance Group Co. This offer threatens to overturn Starwood's $12.2 billion stock and cash transaction deal with Marriott International (MAR  ). Shares of HOT finished at new 2016 highs.

Lastly, The Fresh Market (TFM  ) gained 23.54% today as the company has agreed to be acquired by Apollo Global Management. The private equity firm will pay $28.50 per share for the grocery store chain for a deal worth $1.36B.
