The markets started the week with small gains and a limited trading range. The Dow 30 was up 14 (0.08%), the S&P 500 was up 2 (0.10%) and the Nasdaq 100 gained 13 (0.28%).Shares of Apple (AAPL  ) traded flat today amidst an announcement that the company would begin to sell a smaller 4 inch iPhone and a smaller iPad. The tech giant announced the iPhone SE which will start at $399. Shares traded wildly today but finished down slightly  (-0.01%).

Shares of Valeant Pharmaceuticals (VRX  ) got some small relief today as CEO Michael Pearson is stepping down and activist investor Bill Ackman is joining the board. The company said Pearson will stay on as CEO until his successor is named. Shares were up 7.41% but still remain severely beaten down for the year.

More good news for Tesla (TSLA  ) as Argus upgraded the electric car-maker's stock to buy from neutral with a price target of $333. The firm noted that the Gigafactory is on track to help Tesla lower battery costs and hit the $35,000 price on the Model 3. Shares of Tesla finished up another 2.40% today.

Lastly, Priceline (PCLN  ) was slightly higher today (0.47%) as the company has reached an agreement with Cuba to make Cuban hotel rooms available to U.S. travelers. Priceline is the first U.S. online travel agency to strike a deal with Cuba. The first rooms are expected to be available for booking within a few weeks.
