Marvell Technology, Inc. (MRVL  ) is expanding its AI data-center connectivity and memory portfolio as semiconductor stocks contend with rising bond yields, higher oil prices and broader macroeconomic uncertainty, even as AI-related demand remains strong. Macro Pressures Weigh On Semiconductor Stocks

Chip stocks have pulled back from earlier peaks as investors reassess high-growth technology valuations.

Treasury yields have climbed to multi-year highs, with the 10-year yield reaching around 4.8%, increasing discount rates and putting pressure on higher-multiple technology stocks.

Persistent inflation and strong labor data have also fueled expectations that the Federal Reserve could keep interest rates higher for longer, prompting investors to reconsider the timing and pace of potential rate cuts.

Meanwhile, rising crude oil prices and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have increased concerns around electricity, manufacturing and shipping costs across global technology supply chains.

Marvell Targets AI Infrastructure Efficiency

Against that backdrop, Marvell announced Wednesday that it will showcase its latest AI data-center technologies at AI Infra Summit 2026, scheduled for Sept. 15-17 in Santa Clara, California.

The company is targeting a growing challenge in AI infrastructure: moving data efficiently between compute, memory and storage as workloads scale.

Marvell will highlight its Photonic Fabric technology for sharing memory across racks and its RELIANT Interconnect Telemetry Platform, which provides real-time visibility into optical and electrical connections to help speed deployments and reduce repair times.

Its Teralynx T100 102 Tbps Ethernet switch targets higher bandwidth and efficiency across large-scale AI networks.

Memory, Storage Products Expand AI Opportunity

Marvell is also targeting memory-intensive workloads through CXL-based memory expansion, compression and pooling, which can reduce movement of AI datasets between accelerators and support large-scale vector databases.

The company will showcase a 256-lane PCIe 6.0 switch, alongside DPUs, Ethernet switching and its PCIe 6.0 NVMe SSD controller for enterprise and AI storage.

Marvell said its broader connectivity portfolio aims to improve infrastructure utilization, token efficiency and returns on AI investment as customers scale data-center capacity.
