Stocks were higher today as the Federal Reserve released their minutes today. The Dow 30 was higher by 59, the S&P 500 added 12, and the Nasdaq 100 added 47 on the news. Crude oil also was strong today adding over 1.5% by the close. Tomorrow there is a slew of economic data for traders to focus on. From unemployment claims to manufacturing, and oil numbers its sure to provide something for traders to make decisions on.

Tesla (TSLA  ) shares shot up 4.61% today as the electric car maker announced that it had delivered about 22,000 cars during the fourth quarter of 2016, bringing its total number shipped in 2016 to 76,230 cars. Shares were higher despite missing the numbers that Tesla had forecast. Their full-year forecast was 80,000 to 90,000. Technical traders will be eyeing the next resistance level around $231.

Ford (F  ) enjoyed another strong day today gaining 4.61% as the company announced that it's F-Series had its best monthly sales in 11 years in December. Ford ended the year with total US sales of 2,614,697 vehicles, which goes on record as its best performance in 10 years. The news sent shares to new six month highs.

Panera Bread (PNRA  ) broke its losing streak today gaining 1.89% as Oppenheimer upgraded the restaurant chain to outperform from perform. They also raised their price target to $240. Analyst Brian Bittner said that he thinks "Panera's expanding delivery service will continue to boost its business." Today's move recovers over half of what it lost last week.

Alibaba (BABA  ) announced today that they are suing two vendors for selling fake Swarovski watches on its platform. This is Alibaba's first legal action against counterfeiters in China. The swift, and strong response sent shares up 2.14% today on the news.
