The future is coming...this fall, after Amazon (AMZN  ) debuted everything from household robots, to home security drones and even a space age teleconferencing device which aims to redefine what it means to "talk on the phone with Grandma," for an entire generation.

What follows is a more detailed rundown of some of the main highlights of the Amazon show.

Astro

Astro is Amazon's very first household robot. A bit like Wall-E, with the brains of Alexa. It's a security guard, an Echo on wheels, a teleconferencing tool, and yes even a beverage holder much like the classic Omnibot 2000.

Amazon will release Astro by invitation-only at a starting price of $999 as part of the company's "Day 1 Edition" program. However when Astro releases to the wider market, the bot is expected to retail for $1,449.

Ring's Always Home Cam Drone

This autonomous drone is meant to eliminate the need for multi-camera security setup inside your home. Using its camera it can run visual sweeps of your abode automatically, although it only works on a single floor and has a limited battery-life.

Like Astro, the Always Home Cam is available through invitation only. Although Amazon is currently taking applications for preorder at initial asking price of $250

Alexa's Gets Smarter and Ring's New Package Alerts

Alexa will soon be even smarter, capable of being trained to respond to specific sounds. Your kid starts crying, Alexa can send you an alert. She hears the front door open, and then plays a specific song to set the mood. The possibilities are endless.

In another update that will ring close to home, the Ring Pro 2 and the 2020 model of the Ring Video Doorbell will be able to notify you as soon as a package hits your doorstep.

Ring Virtual Security Guard

Imagine if a trained security agent could watch through your outdoor Ring cameras when you're not looking.

Well now, imagine no further. Ring's new Virtual Security Guard subscription service is capable of doing just that, and you can apply for early access to the starting Tuesday.

Smart Thermostat

Amason's new Smart Thermostat works with Alexa out of the box, meaning it can be controlled by voice or through the Alexa app. At $60 it comes priced at half the cost of the cheapest Google Nest model

It's available for pre-order starting Tuesday, and is expected out by November 4.

Echo Show 15

This 15.6, 1080p HD display will be Amazon's biggest smart display yet and comes powered with the new AZ2 chip. And unlike all those other Echo displays, it can be mounted directly onto the wall, as you would a painting.

Echo Show 15 comes at a starting price of $249.99 and is due out later this year.

It can also be mounted on the wall, like a painting and will be powered by the new AZ2 chip. The echo show will release at $249.99 and is due out later this year.

Halo View

The Halo View is Amazon's answer to the Fitbit. The new smart fitness band comes with a color AMOLED screen and is expected out "in time for the holidays," for $80.

The band is expected to release alongside Halo Fitness, a collection of streamable workout routines, and Halo Nutrition, a calorie tracking service meant to make grocery shopping and meal planning easier.

Echo Glow

The Echo Glow is a videoconferencing device tailor-made for kids. A vertical, forward facing display allows for face to face interaction, while a table top projector can be used to cast games and other activities.
