Netflix (NFLX  ) recently announced that it plans to add two new titles to its list of mobile games, which includes the "League of Legends" spinoff "Hextech Mayhem".

Starting this month, users will be able to play "Dungeon Dwarves" and "Hextech Mayhem" on Android (GOOGL  ) or Apple (AAPL  ) iOS devices that come for free with a Netflix subscription.

"Hextech Mayhem", a relatively new game that came out on other gaming platforms in November 2021, has also been tested in countries such as Poland, Italy, Spain, and Brazil, but is presently branching out to global subscribers. This particular game will represent the first major gaming franchise that will be offered to the Netflix games collection, but it will not be the first Netflix game that is sold in other places.

Netflix's very first experience with gaming started out with choose-your-own-adventure shows like "Black Mirror" and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt". Netflix then suggested that it would like to implement gaming into its streaming services when it brought on Mike Verdu as the vice president of game development and took on Oxenfree developer Night School.

At first, Netflix did not achieve much intended success with its addition of games to its platform. However, the company's implementation of "Hextech Mayhem" has suggested that Netflix would like to find a place for both casual and serious gamers alike.

Over the past year, Netflix has been strengthening its gaming services. Ever since, it has broadened its horizons in terms of what it has to offer, which would involve puzzle games, racing games, open-world strategy games, and so on. While the games are not made specifically at Netflix's headquarters, they are constructed by partners of Netflix, such as Frosty Pop, Rogue Games, and BonusXP.

The expansion of mobile games to Netflix's list of them should captivate the interest of users and viewers all across the board. While the company has not previously taken its gaming quite so seriously before, it hopes to employ some sort of interest or involvement in the gaming world, for both serious and casual users alike.
