The partnership between clothing retailer Gap (GPS  ) and rapper Kanye West has gotten off to a bit of a rough start after a website crash that was initially misreported as the line selling out.

Luckily for those interested in the Gap and West's first joint offering, pre-orders are now available once again through the Yeezy brand's website. Yeezy Gap's first offering can be yours for the price of $200.

The literally named "Round Jacket" is intriguing, to say the very least (the pre-order listing, for the curious, may be found here, but asks for personal information to access). Upon first inspection, the bulky blue jacket looked like it had been stitched together from scraps of blue tarp sourced from a hardware store. Imagine my surprise when I learned that the jacket actually was made of recycled blue nylon.

The peculiar appearance of the jacket isn't helped by its bulky size either, which appears awkwardly large on West during his first wearing of the jacket.

While the jacket and West's comments give some insight into the line's potential aesthetic and design choices, ultimately, the company appears to be keeping quiet and avoiding revealing many details, meaning that any avid fans of West will have to wait a bit longer.

It's safe to say that Round Jacket isn't for me, but so far the jacket's curious design definitely seems to be catching the attention of consumers. Despite some of the comedic responses that the jacket has received so far, it and the brand at large still have a great potential to sell by virtue of association with West. Whether or not the line will be the smash success that Gap needs to help alleviate its financial woes, however, remains to be seen. It's unlikely that a single clothing brand release will be enough to reverse Gap's situation, but even modest success could give the company some much needed relief.

As for Gap, while the company saw some brief upward movement on Tuesday after the reveal, the firm's share price trended downward after.
