Walmart (WMT  ) announced the collaboration with that fashion designer Michelle Smith and SoulCycle instructor Stacey Griffith to soon release an activewear and swim brand, named Love & Sports, at 1,500 locations this Friday.

"I think some of our friends actually thought we were having a baby because we couldn't talk about something and said, 'We can't go. We have something to work on,'" Griffith said in a statement.

This collection of activewear and swimwear will feature 121 items that cost anywhere from $12 to $42. Some examples of specific styles of clothing in this collection are retro running shorts, cropped logo sweatshirts, lightweight nylon jackets, and one- or two-piece swimsuits. The colors that they come in are primarily bold, bright, and neon ones. Sizes are available in XS-XXXL for activewear and XS-XXL for swimwear.

When it came to the process of creating the collection, both Michelle and Stacey partnered with one another. They carefully remembered fashion trends in the fitness world in addition to the performance level of the average athlete when designing this collection of clothing. Careful attention to detail, such as moisture-wicking fabrics, numerous pockets, reflective taping, metal zippers with logos, and rollable waistbands that go from high- to low-waisted looks with ease are all significant features of this collection.

What makes this collection stand out from others is its equal emphasis on both fashion and fitness, or its consideration of both athletic performance (comfort) and aesthetic appeal (look). Both Michelle and Stacey are very excited to be introducing this collection to Walmart. And, since people are now becoming more comfortable with leaving their homes after the pandemic, Michelle and Stacey both believe that their collection, Love & Sports, will be both beautiful and wearable to just about anyone.

"It's just such a natural extension of Stacey and myself that it almost designed itself," Michelle said regarding the creation of the new collection. "It just flowed through onto paper."
