Amazon's Fallout Series Sparks Record Gameplay; Bethesda Reports Nearly 5 Million Daily Players

Amazon.com Inc's (NASDAQ: AMZN) Fallout TV series has been a huge hit on Prime Video, leading to more people playing the Fallout games than ever before.

Microsoft Corp.'s (NASDAQ: MSFT) Bethesda recently revealed that almost five million people played Fallout games in a single day.

Moreover, Steam data also revealed a boost in Fallout players. According to the video game digital distribution service, Fallout 4 had the most players, followed by Fallout 76 and Fallout: New Vegas. Even the 2015 mobile game Fallout Shelter saw a revenue increase.

With so many people playing Fallout games, Nexus Mods, a site where people share mods for games, is having a hard time keeping up with the demand.

Also, it's worth noting that the next-gen update for Fallout 4 is coming out on Thursday, which will likely bring in even more players.
