Tesla Recalls Over 300,000 Vehicles

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has been hit with another recall recently, affecting more than 321,000 vehicles.

The recalls was due to a software glitch that led to incorrect tail light illuminations on certain vehicles. According to Tesla, the lights on the back of its cars could shine improperly from a problem "that may cause false fault detections during the vehicle wake up process."

According to various sources such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Tesla has said that this particular recall on its electric vehicles will include 2023 Model 3 and 2020-2023 Model Y cars. Tesla has stated that, in spite of this continued problem, it does not have any reports of accidents or injuries that are related to it.

There was also an investigation that was conducted on this particular Tesla recall, and Tesla has stated that it received three warranty reports over this type of problem. This type of issue is typically seen in those who own Tesla cars in other countries besides the United States. The recall will be conducted in an "over-the-air software update," according to Yahoo Finance.

Tesla recalls are not uncommon, however. The electric vehicle company has had at least 19 in the United States in this year alone. This has impacted at least 3.77 million Tesla vehicles. According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, "the 2022 deliveries goal would likely be missed," in spite of the fact that production would transcend a 50% growth rate in the fourth quarter.

About a week ago, Tesla also recalled nearly 30,000 Model X cars over a problem that could potentially lead to airbag deployment even during the lowest of speeds during car crashes. This could potentially be harmful, especially if small children are in the front seat. Many consumers have made complaints about this particular issue in Tesla vehicles, among many others.
