Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR) shares traded higher on Friday after the company announced a partnership with Armada to expand sovereign AI infrastructure.
Palantir, Armada Target Sovereign AI Deployments
Palantir will combine its Sovereign AI Operating System with Armada's Galleon modular data centers, software platform, and Sovereign AI Grid.
The offering will allow governments and enterprises to deploy open-weight AI models on infrastructure they control, including in air-gapped environments where systems remain isolated from external networks.
Palantir also named Armada its inaugural Certified Modular Data Center Partner. The companies said they can deploy the infrastructure within months, and it will be manufactured in the U.S. and allied countries.
CEO Alex Karp said, "Our ontology gives institutions control over their data, their models, and the inputs they use to fine-tune models. Armada gives them control over the infrastructure those models operate from, manufactured in the United States and allied nations and delivered in months."
Commercial AI Push Broadens Palantir's Growth
The Armada partnership expands Palantir's sovereign AI footprint, while separate commercial deals show the company pushing deeper into enterprise AI.
Surf Air Mobility (NYSE:SRFM) is also working with Palantir to accelerate commercialization of its OperatorOS aviation platform and develop OwnerOS.
Surf Air said Palantir's engineering, data and AI infrastructure could shorten development timelines and support additional applications.
Separately, Cathie Wood's ARK Invest sold 20,805 Palantir shares worth about $3.95 million on Thursday following the stock's quarterly rally.
