Intel Unveils Next-Gen AI Processors to Drive Enterprise and Data Center Growth

Intel Corp (NASDAQ: INTC) stock climbed nearly 4% in Tuesday premarket trading as improving risk sentiment lifted semiconductor stocks. Nasdaq futures rose 1.01%, while S&P 500 futures gained 0.50%. The chipmaker announced on Monday that it is expanding its AI lineup with new processors and graphics products aimed at improving how businesses handle AI workloads across data centers, laptops and other devices.

Intel Expands AI Portfolio Across Data Centers And PCs

At Hot Chips 2026, Intel is highlighting three products aimed at different parts of the AI market: Diamond Rapids for large enterprise workloads, Crescent Island for running AI models in data centers, and Wildcat Lake for laptops and edge devices.

Diamond Rapids targets large-scale business AI applications and supports up to 256 cores, giving companies more computing capacity for demanding workloads.

Intel designed the processor to improve performance, efficiency and scalability while handling large amounts of data.

Crescent Island Targets Lower AI Operating Costs

Crescent Island focuses on lowering the cost of running AI models. The graphics processor supports up to 480GB of memory and is designed to handle larger models and more simultaneous AI tasks while reducing cooling requirements.

Intel said the product could help businesses get more use from existing data-center infrastructure and improve returns on AI spending.

Wildcat Lake Brings AI To More Affordable Devices

Wildcat Lake brings AI capabilities to more affordable laptops and edge devices. The processor combines computing, graphics and dedicated AI capabilities while supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.

Together, the three products expand Intel's ability to address AI demand across data centers, enterprises and consumer devices, while giving customers options designed around different performance, power and cost requirements.
