CES 2020 Showcases Several Upcoming Technology Based On Sleep

CES also known as Consumer Electronics Show is an annual technology conference. During the CES 2020, companies showed off many new devices and electronics that are coming in the future. A big theme that appeared over and over during this event is that humans don't get enough sleep. Many people nowadays have bad sleeping habits. As a result of this fact, there were many products showcased at the event in Las Vegas that is said to help people fall asleep, stay asleep and so on. Here are a few of the products that were displayed at CES 2020.

Sleep Number's (NASDAQ: SNBR) Climate360 smart bed was announced during the event. The smart bed helps people fall asleep faster and stay asleep throughout the night using personalized temperature control. The thermal control of the bed helps to warm the mattress while the circulating air helps to maintain your core body temperature at an optimal level for a better sleep. The smart bed is designed to create a routine that keeps you comfortable all night long. The Sleep Number's Climate360 smart bed is expected to launch in 2021 and is said to cost $8,000.

Motion Pillow is a pillow made by a Korean company named TenMinds. TenMinds's goal is to limit snoring. The Motion Pillow is a memory foam pillow filled with four pressure-sensing airbags that connect to an outside microphone. Once the microphone hears snoring, the pillow activates its airbags to slowly inflates one side of the pillow until it forces your head to turn. This subtle movement of the head helps to alleviate snoring allowing for a restful sleep. This is the second Motion Pillow device and is said to come out this year.

Ebb Insomnia Therapy is a device that cools and pumps fluid to a forehead pad that is worn through the night. The idea of this device comes from Doctor Eric Nofzinger, founder of Ebb Therapeutics. "A racing, overactive mind is the root cause of sleeplessness," stated by Dr. Nofzinger. The headband uses an algorithm to help a person maintain a favorable temperature range throughout one's sleep and reduce brain activity. The device is available now at $349.

There are many other devices that are coming to help consumers with their sleep. The CES 2020 did a good job of showing off a lot of technology to help maintain people's wellness.
