Air Lease Soars Into 2024: Q4 Fleet Boost, $1.2B Aircraft Investments, And More

Air Lease Corp (NYSE: AL) disclosed an operational and financing update for Q4 FY23.

In Q4, AL reported the delivery of 22 new aircraft from the order book, including six Airbus SE (OTC: EADSY) A220s, one A320neo, eight A321neos, two A330-900neos, two Boeing Company (NYSE: BA) 737-8s, and three 737-9s.

Overall, the company made aircraft investments of around $1.2 billion in the quarter.

AL sold even aircraft to third-party buyers for a total proceeds of about $440 million.

As of December 31, 2023, the company's fleet consists of 463 owned and 78 managed aircraft, with 334 new aircraft on order from Boeing and Airbus to be delivered through 2029.

The company boosted senior unsecured revolving credit facility to $7.4 billion from $7.2 billion.

AL plans to report Q4 FY23 results on February 15, 2024.

In November, the company inked a deal with EGYPTAIR for the long-term lease of 18 new 737-8 aircraft.
